Bottle 375ml. [ As Mikkeller Barley Sweet Wine ].Clear medium to dark amber color with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, bread, old malt, dusty malt, wood, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, old malt, sweet malt, caramel, bread, old malt - wood. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20150411]

Bottle. Almost clear deep brown liquid with medium light tan head. Aroma of raw sugar, caramel, light booze, toffee and light wood. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with notes of caramel, toffee and raw sugar. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.

Bottle, 12%. Unclear dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, dark fruits, oak and wood. Flavour is malt, caramel, dark fruits, raisins, sweet, oak, wood, warming and a medium bitter.

Hazy deep red - amber beer, good cream colour head. Nose of creamy malt, caramel and something spicy. Palate is soft and mildly viscous. Mild fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, somewhat aged tasting, mild caramel and cream. Mellow ripe fruits on the backend, dried fruits as well. Smooth finish. Hangs together well.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. 110415

Bottle @ Post-Easter Procrastination, Ulfborg. Pours hazy copper brown / ruby with airy beige head. Clear aroma of sweet wine and malt, with some citric notes. Sweetish flavour of malt, caramel and vanilla, with notes of barrel and touches of hops and citrus. Vanilla and citric afftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Good.

dark amber to mahogany colour with ruby notes; aroma of caramel, herbal notes and overripe fruits;taste of intensive malty sweetness, which is quite well balanced by hoppy bitterness; a bit less carbonation than ideal, but still very good barley wine

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel aroma with hoppy hints. Sweetish malty spicy caramel and dark fruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish.
