Does exactly what it says on the….. well pump clip. An easy drinking favourite among many, Citra Burst is a light golden India pale ale with resinous pine and citrus flavours and light aroma of citrus zest.

A hazed orange amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, smooth fruity malt with tropical fruits, papaya, subdued lemony hops. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with papaya, guava and orange pulp, light citrus hops, quite nice. Cask Days 2013.

On keg at the Stockbridge Tap. This is one of the single hop burst series from this brewery. Plenty of grapefruit on the nose with confirmation on the taste. The palate is balanced though it lacks the creamy texture of a cask beer. When drinking lots of well kept cask beer there is a slight shock to the palate when you suddenly have a more carbonated beer. Overall, I think it’s good but I would prefer a cask version.........please.

Cask (Blue Blazer, Edinburgh) - Amber with a slight haze. Kiwi, lemon and tea in the aroma. Tangy and hoppy taste with notes of lemon, tea and grapefruit.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 4/7/2013. Deep gold with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, tangerines and pineapple, followed by some solid malts and dryish finish. Enjoyable.

Cask at The Southern. Pours a clear amber with a generous white head. Aromas are grapefruit, grapefruit, and pale malt. Something spicy on the taste. More grapefruit. Good job I like Citra hops. Lovely beer.

Cask at Bow Bar. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is bread, pithy citrus, orange, lemon and a touch of pine. The taste is grainy, grapefruit, orange rind, bread, light spice with a bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Taste doesn’t quite live up to the vibrant smell. Still, ok.
