From cask in Mermaid St Albans. Amber colour, small head, poor lacing. Aroma is herbal hops, caramel. Light bitterness, enough. Light body, but not watery. Decent.

Pigs Ear. Clear amber beer. Very light carbonation. Light and dry and full of apples. Apple vinegar finish. Not good and not right and not ready. Clip round the ear to Camra for serving this when it’s clearly not fit to be served.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 15/10/09. Amber in colour with a slight white head. Malty bitter, with plenty of fruitiness, a touch of caramel and some earthy hops in the finish. Ok.
