750 ml bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet spicy pepper and lemons. The flavor is smooth pale malts and some zesty lemon, a bit of pepper and earthy yeast. Very drinkable. Quite well made.

Big Top Beer Distro, PA variety pack: Pours a light and hazy golden color with a big frothed up white head. Aroma is of pepper, some other spices, mild hops, and a note of kielbasa (according to my brother). The taste and body are equally light. In a sense, this beer fulfills the refreshing function of a saison beautifully. It doesn’t try to be pretentious or experimental, instead it delivers an extremely well-balanced ale with a mildly spice character. If looked at from a normative perspective, there are no flaws in this beer.

Bottle shared by Kyle at the Winter Solstice. Poured a pale gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of floral and fruit with a backing yeast and grain note. Flavor was similar with floral, fruit and sweet grain coming through with a bit of soap in the finish.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours medium gold with tiny bubbles and a four finger frothy white head. Mildly funky aroma. Medium body with sparkling carbonation. Flavor is funky and yeasty. Maybe a tad musty. Finishes that way. Farmhouse it is. Good stuff.

Draught at Barcade, New York
Hazy blond color. The aroma is lightly spicy (coriander). Medium body strength; the flavor is lightly spicy, but boring overall, confirming that American microbreweries should not brew Belgian styles.

Super cloudy bright orange coloured body with a golden glow and a luscious creamy tan head. Aroma of honey, yeast, grass, hay, coriander seed and sweet toffee. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong pungent wheat and yeast flavours up front with a strong and pleasant spiceyness behind, tucked inside a mellow sweetness at the end. Aftertaste is complex and pleasing - some yeast, a lot of honey and a moderate amount of spice all leads to a drying and enjoyable sweetness. Overall, an amazing beer - complex and very enjoyable. Definitely worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased at Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York in 2007 sampled at home on the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 28-March-2009.

Beige, slightly hazy. Slightly funky, with some pedio. Fairly full body, spicy, with a nice firm alcohol finish with herbal hops. This cuts through just a hint of sweetness at the fore, which comes in a little plasticy. Some spritziness moves the body forward. Decent little saison.
