Pours lightly hazy bright golden color with a 2-3 finger dense and rocky white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big apple skin, pear, lemon zest, grape, grass, straw, floral, clove, light honey, bread, funk, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of fruity/spicy/funky yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of big pear, apple, lemon zest, pepper, clove, grape, light honey, grass, straw, bread, light funk, floral, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, grass, straw, clove, pepper, floral, funk, light honey, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome balance and complexity of fruity/spicy/funky yeast flavors; with a good malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent saison style! All around excellent balance and complexity of yeast ester flavors with moderate malt balance; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.
