330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of iodine, light-to-moderate smokiness from the Ardbeg, and very light roast. Flavour is much the same, with lots of iodine, moderate smoky whiskey, and a light toasted malt base. The base beer is lacking despite the nice barrel character. A bit flimsy but nice overall.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with short tan head that settles quickly. Aromas of peat smoke, brown sugar, caramel, and toasted malts. Flavors of peat, menthol, brown sugar, soft whiskey and caramel malts. Very good. I like that the peat is not overkill and is in good balance.

Poured from 330mL bottle @ Oakes' Chinese lookout. Dark brown with small light tan head. Quite nice, the ardbeg gives a mild smoked peat without overpowering (beerplace should appreciate the integration of this smoke), some tobacco and leather underlay. Flavours blend nicely. Good stuff.

Pours dark brown. No head. Lots of Ardbeg smoke. Smooth, soft, rich toffee sugary malts, blending quite well with the assertive smoke. Okay I wasn't sure this would work out but it worked out. The base is richer than I remember and the treatment complements it well.
