A blend of two barrel aged imperial stouts. One portion aged in Blanton's barrels for two years while the other was aged for one year in a coconut rum barrel, and double-barreled for an additional six months in my Brazilian amburana wood barrel.

Dark brown, with a thin head. Aroma has a lot going on - coconut, amburana and bourbon in that order, on top of the sweet dark sugar imperial stout base. On the palate, the amburana spiciness is pronounced, the alcohol rolls through with some warmth, and then there's a bit of that coconut adding another element. Nothing super refined - each individual element stands on its own but without much complementarity between them.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of treacle, graham cracker, bourbon barrel (amburana?), chocolate and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional chocolate nougat. A bit boozy but still tasty.

Bottle pour at Farmhouse Fest 2023, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of amburana upfront, followed by rum and gentle sugars. Flavour is full of amburana wood upfront, accentuated by a touch of rum, bourbon and dark sugars. Amburana steals the show. Very nice stuff.
