Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends. Pours dark brown with basically no head worth mentioning. Smell is malty and slightly fruity estery with caramel, sweet dark bread, toffee, vanilla fudge, charred wood, toasted coconut, dried dark fruits, marzipan covered baked pears and hints of bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and tiny fruity. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet, slightly bitter and very tiny sour with caramel, toffee, vanilla fudge, toasted coconut and almonds, dried dark fruits and bourbon alcohol. Decadent... Quite enjoyable...

Bigger Copenhagen bimble with Colin, Ronnie, Reuben and Alex. Mikkeller & Friends Brewdog Tap Takeover. Keg. Hazy deep amber - red beer, small pale tan head. Softish palate, semi dry. Fluffy malts with mild creamy sweetness. Big pinch of spice. A little solvent, nothing too serious. Mellow fruity bourbon. Light semi dry finish. Smooth and fairly drinkable.

From keg at M&F thanks to Colin & Ken. It pours darkest brown/near black with a tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, mild smoke, bourbon, somewhat medicinal, wood, burnt vanilla and dark/dried fruits. The taste is bitter-sweet, woody, full of dark fruits, berry, earth, light spice, roasted malts, boozy bourbon, umami, leather and medicinal notes with a warming finish. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A lot of dry wood about it, which progresses to an almost astringent linger. I like a lot of the elements, but it doesn’t really work well together. Not too bad.
