Reddish brown colour, not much head. That is a nice chewy crystal malt and toffee aroma with earthy c hops. Bourbon hits big, it isn’t sweet enough to be refined but it’s solid.

12 oz can. Pours a dark mahogany with a little fuzz but no head. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, raisins, bran, sweet bourbon, and toasted malts. Flavors of toasted oak, caramel, sweet vanilla, sweet bourbon, subtle whiskey, sweetened raisins, and soft toasted malts. Sweet and sticky with a warm finish. Excellent for a sweet modern Barleywine.

12 oz. can, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma reveals the beautiful bourbon barrels upfront, along with dark dried fruits, toffee, and some brown sugar. Flavour is sublime, with a wonderful bourbon barrel expression, a rich dark dried fruit character, some toffee, caramel, brown sugar, and barely any booziness. Elegant flavours, wonderfully integrated, and loads of depth. Just wonderful.

12 oz can poured picked up at Hop and Hound. These dark cans from Single Hill really catch my eye on the shelf, and if this can is even half as good as the imperial stouts released in the similar cans, I'm in for a treat. Beautiful pour, so.ewhat bright and dense cooper with a thick pillow of off white foam head. Layered aroma of oak, vanilla, caramel, and smooth whiskey. Flavors are equally as layered and complex, with rich vanilla and caramel battled by spicy rye like notes, bold earthy malts, whiskey, and a dry lingering oak. Really happy with the balance between whiskey and malt here. You get solid representation from both without either overpowering and taking over the main event of this brew. Has all the flavor of a whiskey without being even what I would consider a sipper. BiL. I LOVE this!
