Sampled from cask at ’The Shakespeare’. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, white layer. Slightly sweetish, quite sourish, fruity and a little funky aroma of apples, oak and some pear. Just slightly sweet, moderately sour, fruity and a little funky taste of apples, pear, some oak and a touch of vinegar, followed by a short, moderately tart, woody-dry finish. Thin to medium body, moderately astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, almost flat. Okay!

Craft - Rich and spicy, almost like pie. Rich gold with no head. Almost vinegar up front with a less harsh sourness. Rich meaty flavours with some bitterness as well. Very complex and interesting.

Bag in a box at the Stable, Bristol 14/2/2014. I had the medium version, there are dry and sweet versions too. Amber in colour with slight carbonation. A solid, well balanced cider, with plenty of apple fruit, a touch of sweetness and a gentle finish with some lingering dryness. Good.
