For the next in our harvest season selections, we blended a selection of our Farmstead® ales—all of which spent more than a year in oaken rest—for pairing with organic red raspberries from the 2022 harvest season at Adam’s Berry Farm in Charlotte, Vt. This blend and pairing expresses a thoughtful representation of the fruit in season.

Fairly clean (except at the last pour - hazy), amber colour with a reddish hue, a small head that disappears rather quickly. Some good funkiness, sourness in the nose, mineral notes with the raspberries. This continues in the taste with the sourness being stronger, almost puckering, and lingering nicely with the raspberries. A tad tart in the end. Quite a nice, refreshing, sour-raspberry brew with a touch of woodiness and tartiness.

Bright, clear, raspberry. Big, pink head.
Beautiful raspberry character in the nose. Rich, juicy, spicy, seedy, tannic; it's all there. Bit of funk behind it with sparse, but gently supportive malts. Doesn't feel too acidic by any means.
Mega-juicy, mega-fruity, huge Brett and a rich maltiness with great attenuation. Wow, this is just stellar. The frequent problem with raspberry being too acidic of a fruit addition is here mitigated by the malt and juicy sugars, as well as the fruity, complex Brett. And yet the tartness keeps it refreshing and balanced, begging to be sipped again.

Bottle thanks to Jason. Pours a hazy ruby with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is mineral, raspberry, earth, oak. Slick body, raspberry, mineral, wood, acidic, very nice.

Bottle at Palace Hall 27/04/2024 Malmö April 2024 tasting - prominent tart raspberry forward, vibrant raspberry rich with notes of berry skin, medium body and acidity, oak wooden washed raspberry fruity lingering close. Very nice.
