Frutto di un lungo lavoro di maturazione rappresenta per ora il punto più alto raggiunto dal nostro progetto. Questa volta la Papanero ha riposato in botti ex bourbon che le regalano i tipici sentori di vaniglia, cocco e caramello che si sposano perfettamente con l’importante struttura di questa birra estremamente complessa e profonda... 12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has soft meaty malt, gentle oak barrels that don’t quite come across as bourbon, and some feint molasses. Flavour is full of chocolate syrup, butterscotch, graham cracker, and a touch of bourbon. Too much chocolate syrup, not enough malt depth, and barrels that don’t really strike the right notes. Not bad, but this doesn’t really work for me.

330mL bottle. Pours nearly black with no head. Graham crackers, light chocolate, and some bourbon on the nose. Flavour has chocolate syrup, graham crackers, dusty coffee, and a sweet malt profile that I tend to find in European imperial stouts. Barely any barrel character. Comes off a bit hamfisted.

Black color with minimal beige head.
Aroma: rich and sweet - vanilla, molasses, toffee, butterscotch, cinnamon, licorice, coconut.
Taste: vanilla, toffee, butterscotch, warming ABV, light roasted and sour notes.
Full bodied, low to moderate carbonation, moderate bitterness.
Oily, high viscosity, rich and dessert, very good.

330 ml bottle. Ours black with slight tan head. Aromas of rich chocolate nougat, vanilla, dark fruit and slick roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate syrup, graham cracker, sweetened black coffee, very soft sweet bourbon and oily roasted malts. Excellent.

On tap at Vilaggio della Birra 2022. Roasted malts, chocolate, bourbon, some coffee notes, some dark fruit, medium sweetness and body. Touch of bitterness in finish.

#8000, random UTcrap ticks, at least it’s not smirnof. Erik R., this is Excellent, lots of creamy bourbon with chocolate, malts, roasted, soft, smooth. Too bad Ratebeer has gone dead, otherwise i would never left…

Bottle @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino leggera. Naso ricco, note di cioccolato fondente, caffè, vaniglia, legno, nocciola. In bocca è rotonda, corposa, avvolgente, ben bilanciata nelle sue componenti dolce e amaro, discretamente lunga. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Ottimo prodotto.
