Cask at the People’s Park Tavern , 13/09/14. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a moderate light tan covering. Nose carries a nice level of coffee grinds, dark malt, toffee, chocolate. Taste carries a little less depth, spice, biscuit, coffee vibes, earthy roast, dirt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a nice coffee kick. Decent enough coffee stout, best offering I’ve had from Laine’s I reckon.

Cask at the People’s Park Tavern - London. Pours deep brown with a bubbly, off-white head. Huge fresh espresso on the nose, with subtle roasted malt undertones. Light-medium sweet with more espresso, moderate roast, some burnt sugars, dry cocoa, coffee beans, some earthy bitterness, charred toast. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; pretty good condition. Finishes with further rich espresso, mellow bitterness, cocoa, earth. Nice true espresso character.
