Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, caramel, fruits, citrus, hops, pine resin. Flavour is moderate sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Both malty and fairly hoppy, not a spectacular beer but pretty enjoyable.

Backlog July 2015. Almost clear reddish orange body under a dense, lacing tan head. Aroma is mainly malty with caramel and some citric fruit. Taste is medium sweet, malt, caramel and moderate fruity, some bitterness. Not very exciting and slightly unbalanced.

Fles op terras in Skien. Roodbruin bier met schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig en licht fruitig met iets van grapefruit. Zou nog iets krachtiger kunnen om daarmee echt een top bier zijn.

Bottle at Gatsby, Bod. Pours a deep reddish brown colour with a creamy light beige head. Aroma of pine, heather, wild berries, leather, spices and some coffee. The flavour is more malty with bread crumbs, oak, leather and wild berries. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a balanced but solid bitterness. A tasteful, rich and malty amber ale.

0.33l bottle from #266. This one pours a cloudy deep dark amber/copper-bronze colored body with a quite good looking big lasting and lacing off-white head placed on the top. Earthy and piney nose on this. I get red fruits, some soapy things and a little bit of malt sweetness. Not a bad nose really. In the taste it's slightly roasted and pungent. Definitely earthy and it's almost as it's been slightly smoked. Smoked plastic? Strange, and not directly delicate. It has a good oily textural mouthfeel and it's almost creamy on the above average carbonation level. Well bitter in the taste also. Kinda dry in a way, not much malt sweetness left here. Mineralish earthy finish. Something about this one I didn't find fantastic, still, it's a drinkable one. Won't be hunting it down for a second go though. 10.01.2015

330 ml bottle, batch #567, from Vinmonopolet Verksgt., Stavanger. ABV is 5.6%. Gusher bottle. Deep reddish brown colour, moderate off-white head. Strong aroma of medium roast malts, hints of coffee and wood. The flavour has the same elements, but also distinct fruity and piney hops. Not very well balanced, and not a beer I’ll buy again.
