Cask at CBC Covborn, 07/08/17. Pitch black wth a light tan cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, mellow bourbon barrel, spice, roast malts, toffee. Taste comprises toffee, molasses, chocolate malt, dried fruits, spice, well integrated bourbon notes. Full bodied, oily feel, sweet rising boost on the close. Solid cask impy.

Cask at CBC CG - London. Pours oily black with minimal head, just a little tan cream. Massive aroma, lots of hearty chocolate, dried berries, aged toffee, vanilla. Big sweet flavour with some boozy kick, nice aged and dried, dark fruits, syrupy and burnt sugars, toffee, vanilla beans. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with soft carbonation. Warm to hot finish, with lots of oily and liquefied dark fruits, creamy toffee, chocolate, mellow roast. Great stuff overall. Wonderful aged, softened character, while still intense and with nice depth. I love it.

Cask at Craft WC1. It pours near black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich, sweet, sticky, big sweet vanilla, cookie dough, brownie, toasted brown sugars, big bourbon character, toasty, sticky, oak and some oiliness. The taste is slick, crazy sweet, oily, shit tonne of vanilla, plenty of bourbon, chocolate ice - cream, rather fruity, black forest gateaux, slick, cookie dough, warming alcohol, tannin, chocolate tea cake and oaky action with a warming finish. Full body, soft carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Maybe a touch sweet, but plenty going on. Good sipper.
