Keg at the Lab, 21/07/17 @10.5% high boost edition. Almost clear golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is sticky tropical fruit drool, orange pith, grapefruit, caramel, sweet malt base. Taste comprises caramel malts, orange peel, soft bread, apricot jam, grapefruit, light pine flicker. Medium bodied plus with fine carbonation leading to a sticky hop climax in a semi drying close doused in juicy hop bitterness. Ok DIPA with an Old Skool lilt but a touch overly sweet and lacking bitterness in the balance for me.

Keg at LBL. This version is 10.5%!!! It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, stinky, oily, pine, apricot, peach and sticky bun. The taste is slick, oily, bitter - sweet, juicy, peachy, apricot, white bread, fruit bun, alcohol sting, candied peel and marzipan. Finish is drying and warming. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Oily mouth - feel. Drinks way easier than it should. Dangerous.

Keg at the Lab. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a tight, creamy white head. Nice juicy, lightly dank citrus in the nose, some tropical notes, mild pale bread, tangerine, mango, pine. Medium sweet flavour with assertive piney bitterness, dry pale malts, more tropical aspect, papaya, a bit of booze. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, lightly resinous, with some spicy pine, more melon and mango, orange and papaya, bitter pine and citrus rind. A few years ago this would have been top shelf. Even now, it’s still great stuff.
