Sweet floral and citrus hop aromas give way to resinous, citrus and pine hop flavours balanced by rich biscuit and caramel malts.

Cloudy medium amber colour, good creamy beige somewhat muddy head, good retention, good lacing. Aroma pale malts, pomelo, orange peel, light caramel, earthy notes. Smooth taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, light citrus, piney notes. Light to medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry bittersweet aftertaste, touch of pepper, a solid amber ale.

Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Bright clear copper-amber with a thin head. Has a mildish but tasty enough tropical fruit aroma and taste with a hint of grainy malts involved.

On keg at the Bow Bar. Appearance - a lovely lava lamp colour. Red and orange all over. If the head had stayed this was a rare perfect 5 in Appearance. Nose - light red fruit then grapefruit and pine. Taste - more red fruits and biscuits. Bitter grapefruit and lime finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry and unforgivingly bitter finish. Overall - good but slightly too bitter for my palate.

500ml bottle conditioned: 4.6% ABV. Poured at home into an Abbot Ale glass tankard. Poured a murky brown with a deep beige blanket of foam on top. Bitter hop feel to the nose and taste, chilled: became more malty as it warmed a little. Reminded me of some of the Californian Hoppy brews I have tatsed, so this is obviously a good try at that style. Impressed.

Bottle from alesela. It pours clear deep amber with a medium white head. The nose is caramel, wood, caramel, orange peel, tangerine and sherbet. The taste is bitter, pine, varnish, resin, caramel, grapefruit rind and a touch of soap with a rather dry-bitter finish. Light-medium body and moderate carbonation. Perhaps a touch watery, but nice bitterness nonetheless. Decent.
