(Cask at Harp, Charing Cross, London, 11 May 2024) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, dark bread and prunes. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread, prunes, liquorice and a mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, dry. Rich and well made mild. Nice one.

Cask. Shakespeare’s. Dark chestnut brown. Sudsy lasting tan head. Nutty roast. Some toffee. Super easy drinking with nutty bitterness. Robust mild.

Cask @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Black with a creamy-frothy off-white head. Crisp, but very tasteless ale, with some dark malt notes in its aftertaste. There’s a hint of roasted malt in its nose, but is somewhat thin.
