Keg at BD Down Shep, 14/04/16. Rich amber with a well appointed light beige head that retains well. Nose is earthy hop, biscuit crumble, toffee, light floral jig, orange peel. Taste comprises caramel malt, toasted grain, toffee, leafy hop notes, trace ofmminerals, orange peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy hop bitterness. Decent hoppy ambero.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras and drunk at home. Clear russet brown colour lasting beige cream head. Very tasty amber ale. Lots of these can be a bit sweet and flabby, but this has good hops throughout. Sweetish red fruit flavours, strawberry and raspberry, jammy, Grapefruity hops. Some earthiness. But it’s a good amber ale and the kind of beer I like a lot. Hops and good strong malts.

Keg at Cloisters. It pours deep amber with a small yellow-white head. The nose is soft, juicy, orange citrus, marmalade, orange muffin, caramel and fruit cake. The taste is bitter, big zesty orange action, kumquat, marmalade, piney varnish, caramel with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Not a whole lot to it, but decent enough.

Keg at the Earl of Essex - London. Pours clear, light amber-gold with w creamy, off-white head. Lightly toasted bready malts in the nose, touches of pine, ripe orange. Medium sweet flavor with sturdy brown bread character, ripe orange, berries, mellow piney bitterness. Light to medium bodied within me to average carbonation. Finishes with light toasty bread sweetness, some graham cracker, subtle earth, pine, ripe berries and citrus. Tasty beer, if fairly straightforward.
