Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Reddish amber with a scummy looking white head; indistinct sourish fruit aroma; prickly in the mouth with a slightly sour fruity taste, and a soft grainy body; followed by a caramel finish. This didn’t seem to be at it’s best.

Cask thanks to Colin at Victoria Station Spooneria. It pours clear deep amber with a small white head. The nose is earthy, brown bread, toasty grain, light caramel and a touch of fruit. The taste is toasty, bitter-sweet, earthy bitterness, wood, caramel, orange rind, oily action and resin with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Above average bitter for sure. Quite enjoyable even in this intense heat!
