Bottle on the train to the first annual Cotteridge Convention. What a treat - big shout-out to Paul for sourcing this gem. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, white head. The nose has strong saison yeast character, some ripe and rotting lemon, doughy wheat bread. Medium to big sweet flavor with sugary wheat, light toffee, lots of dough. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary and wheaty to finish, with more forward yeast, a hit of alcohol. Not bad on the whole.

Bottle, train on route to the Cotteridge Convention. Picked up at Good Taste, Crystal P. It pours lightly hazy golden with a medium white head. The nose is soft, fruity, apple, pear, melon, sherbet, starw, dough and cracker. The taste is crisp, lightly bitter, boozy hit, sweet pear, apple, melon, sherbet, straw and dough with a shortish finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and big foamy mouth-feel. A touch sweet perhaps and not quite as much depth as I had hoped for. Not bad..

Bottle split on the train tasting to Birmingham, thanks to Scoopey, 24/01/14. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is apricot, spice, straw, bitter orange, mandarin, light yeast and bread grain. Taste comprises apricot, earthy tones, spice, yeast, lemon rind, light orchard strains, bitter orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok saison but I expect a little more depth from an 8% offering.
