Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Thanks to our host. Almost clear gold -amber beer. Tiny pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and minerally crisp. Lactose streaked light pale malts. Dry creamy sweetness. Orange peel hop bitterness. Some floralness. Light dry finish. Bitter linger. Somewhat thin and dry but okay.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours clear amber with a small off-white head. The nose is toasty, cracker, brown bread, stewed oranges, tangerine and dull sherbet. The taste is crisp, toasty, earth, wood, grainy, caramel, oily orange and grapefruit rind with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not bad. OK amber.

Bottle shared in London. Pours totally clear amber-gold with a frothy white head. The nose has nips of caramel, bread, ripe orange. Light to medium sweet flavor with some piney hops, ripe orange, leaves, dry caramel, grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, with lightly toasted malts, pine, grainy bread, moderate citrus. Not bad.
