Cask at Pigs Ear 2014 - London. Pours clear, golden-brown with a lasting, white foam head. Dunkin Donuts coffee aroma, with some lightly toasted brown bread. Medium sweet flavor with more coffee notes, bready malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation; nicely conditioned. Pleasant coffee finish with bitter toasted leaves, earth. Solid.

Cask gravity at Pig’s Ear Beer Fest 2014. One off for pigs ear. Aroma is nice pronounced big roasty coffee, coffee bean, roast coffee. Burnt orange / caramel coloured pour with a loose light tan coloured head. Flavour is composed of coffee bean, rich smooth roast coffee, nutty malts, touch of sweetness. A little artifical kamp coffee, coffee cake, but i dig it. Palate is medium bodied, semi-sweet, lowish carbonation. I like it

Cask at Pig’s Ear 2014. It pours clear deep amber with a small white head. The nose is toasty, big coffee character, roast, warming and chocolate-covered coffee beans. The taste is earthy, toast, big coffee, mild astringency, some bitterness, citrus rind, wood and leather with a dry, coffee-driven finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and slightly oily finish. Works rather well (if you like coffee that is!).

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear ’14, day 1, 02/12/14. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with moderate light beige edgeing. Nose is big coffee grounds, earthy roasted tones, light smoke, coffee cake. Taste comprises dark malt, coffee but nowhere on the scale of the aroma, sweet licks, toffee, biscuit. Medium body, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Decent coffee affair.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Lightly hazy amber beer with a few lonely pale tan bubbles. Palate is dry and with modest fine crispness. Fairly strong coffee but it never gets over bitter. A little fruity sweetness balances things out. Light semi dry finish. Whisper of floralness. Not bad.
