Bottle @ ZZT 9 thanks to Dutchdrebus. Clear orange color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, bitter, pine, cedar wood. Aftertaste has a lot of cedar wood. Well I like it, but some might find the cedar overwhelming. Still, very nice.

750ml bottle. Slightly cloudy orangey copper colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, decently lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy aroma with hints of red berries, orange and a touch of exotic fruit on caramel malty background. Taste is initially fruity and bitter hoppy, red berries, orange with caramel malty background, some toffee, later a woody note comes in and gains more weight the closer the finish; additionally a touch of warming alcohol in the finish. Not as citrusy hoppy as one could expect. Solid but not overly exciting.

Orangish colour with a foamy off-white head with good duration and nice lacework. Aroma has notes os slightly citrus, barrel notes, some spices and fruits. Flavor has hints of bittery oranges and tangerine, good maltiness, some caramel and ripe sirupy fruit to complete a decent bitterness. The final has a moderate bitterness with barrel notes.

Big bottle in a box from the LCBO. Cedar aged... interesting. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and lots of dirty lacing. Aromas of dark fruits over the pine hop notes and nutty hints. This seems to comes from the cedar wood which comes out after breathing. This seems to calm the hops. Goes down too well for 10% ABV. Just a mild warming. The bitterness is nice overall. Mild pine flavours, grapefruits and orange zest. All very well-balanced and a nice touch with the cedar showing in the nose. A real good twist on the Imperial IPA.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a hazy orange amber with a generous off white head that leaves a lot of lace. Cedar is dominant in the nose backed by citrus and vanilla and some honey sweetness. Quite sweet and spicy at the start with a nice bitter finish. Creamy with about average carbonation. The alcohol is quite noticeable in the finish. The cedar adds some interesting notes tho this but it is a little sweet and not quite what I was expecting from a 2xIPA from Flying Monkeys.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some excellent lacing. Aroma consists of bitter citrus hops with light spicy notes. Taste is also dominated by spicy peppery notes with some citrus heavy notes with some herbal notes as well. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. This is an interesting experiment with cedars which seems to provide the peppery notes. I found that there was maybe a tad too much astringency though.

750mL bottle, sent from wilco (thanks a lot, Mike), pours a cloudy orange with a medium off-white head. Nose brings out notes of cedar upfront, along with subdued dry piney hops. Flavour brings out cedar, caramel and piney hops -- the blend of flavours is phenomenal, with the cedar not destroying the hops at all, but rather accentuating the other flavours. Excellent stuff, especially considering I don't normally like barrel aged IPAs.

A hazed murky orange amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, superb floral & piney hops with biscuit malt, cedar perfume, orange pulp, delicious. In mouth, a good intense biscuit malt, vinous qualities, cedar wood, peppers, floral hops with menthol, alcohol warmth. Superb.
