Bottle split at CBC Islooo during my 40th shitshoot, thanks to Paulo for this Cambridgeshire Moby Dick Stick, 11/10/14. Black with moderate tan edgeing and spotting. Nose is roasty tones, vanilla essence, light charr, dark toffee tunes, nutty pang. Taste comprises rich roastings, chocolate, spice, light brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, roasted tones and moderate sweet licks in the close. Far from top draw but a drinkable impy.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Paul. Pours oily black with a slight creamy head. Heavy dark malt aroma, slight tangy dark fruits, berries, chocolate. Medium to heavy sweet flavor, some spices, cocoa, earth, burnt wood. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with oily chocolate, dried fruits. OK balance overall, somewhat dynamic, though a touch thin in body.

Bottle from the Maypole. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The nose is rich roast, dark chocolate, chocolate gateaux, cake and earth. The taste is smooth, rich roast, chocolate cake, coffee, mild acidity, earth, dried fruits and booze with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded stuff and pretty tasty. Not bad at all.
