Keg at Le Gothique LBA event, 24/07/14. Orange amber with a moderate off white covering/swirl. Nose is citric sherbets, pith, orange peel, lemon jus, fresh grass. Taste comprises orange pith, chalky minerals, tangerine, light hop presence. Medium body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Drinkable fayre but at the lower end of the spectrum for this style.

Bottle at home in London - picked up from Oddbins. Pours lightly unclear yellow-gold, highly effervescent, with a large, billowing white cream head. The nose has rindy lemon hops, some straw, biscuity pale malts. Light sweet flavor with a relaxed, dry pale malt structure, mellow bitterness of citrus rind, further lemon, hay, faint grass, general citrus pith. Light bodied with active, lively carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish with further pithy citrus, some mild lemon meringue, hints of lemon zest, more biscuity pale malts. Very drinkable stuff. As the carbonation softens and the beer warms a very enjoyable underlying character reveals itself.
