Cask at Brew Wharf - Borough Market, London. Pours clear, dull brown with a bubbly white head. Pretty classic bitter here. Plenty of twiggy hops, dried berries, bread, some light, leafy bitterness. Light in body with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish with ripe berry accents and restrained bitter leaves. Straight ahead stuff.

Cask at Brew Wharf, 21/12/13. Clear amber with a moderate off white head that leaks to the edge. Nose is dark fruit, light smoke, brown bread, brown sugar, toffee. Taste comprises bready malt, berry fruits, brown sugar, biscuit base, hint of toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying bitterness in the finish. Ok bitter.

Bottle from Brewharf, Stoney Street, Southwark, London in company of Loz & Ang, Saturday 14th December 2013 Pours light chestnut colour, smooth and easy sipper as Ang says its a bit of an old fashioned beer I guess a bit traditional slippers and pipe bitter, however its tasty, a little nutty, its a decent bitter. Good. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Clear deep amber beer with a tidy pale cream coloured head. Smooth palate with light fine carbonation. Smooth malt, mild dry cream. Nice nutty tone. Light yeast character and dried fruits before a dry finish that has a touch of spice. Standard stuff but done well.
