500 ml bottle. Unclear, dark brown, almost black body with a big, dense, beige head. Strong aroma of berries, mild dark malt, hint of pine and some spices. Flavor is medium sweet malt, chocolate, cherry, slightly spicy with Christmas spices and chili, some slightly harsh bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Quite nice.

Bottle at home from Oddbins London bridge. Orange amber caramel coloured pour with a creamy thin persistent greyish head. Aroma is initially some plastic hockey puck phenols, but these blow off pretty quickly. Aroma later is light caramel and some english yeast esters. Flavour is sweet raisin / apple oxidised malt with a big alcohol bite. Do not get much chilli character, some other christmas spices. Aggregive rough lingering bitterness. Mid sweet palate, some sweet fruits. Not lasted well in the bottle.

Draft at Pigs Ear Beer Festival 2013 - London. Pours hazy brown with a mild, creamy head. Doughy, dark bread in the nose. Medium sweet flavor with toasted bread, milk chocolate and light green pepper. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet to end, with more toasty bread and faint chili spice in the throat. Nicely balanced for a chili beer.

Gravity dispense at Pigs Ear, 03/12/13. Murky light black with a thin tan covering. Nose is dark malt, light roast, spice. Taste carries more depth, dark chocolate, subtle chilli kick, light roast, brown sugats, dark toffee fudge. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light chilli and green pepper kick in the finale with a little spiced heat. Ok.

Pigs Ear. Murky dark brown beer. Residual bubbly tan head. Palate is smooth with light fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts and a touch of dark toffee. Light fruits, well buried. The chilli provides a mellow heat and a little vegetable - fruitiness. Not bad, thought it would blow my noggin off but this was sensibly done.
