(Cask at Cock Tavern, Hackney, London, 21 Nov 2013) Black colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark fruit, blackberries, prunes and chocolate. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dark fruit, prunes, raisins, blackberries and chocolate. A certain cocoa bitterness. Medium body, with some sweetness coming through. Tasty with lots of fruit character. Quite nice.

Cock Tavern. Cask. Hazy red - brown beer with a small pale tan head. Smooth palate, light fine carbonation. Very light touch of dark malts. Whispers of coffee and dark chocolate. Very subtle fruits. Smooth finish. Nice enough but I wanted more welly al round!
