Bottle thanks to Jack at the Croydonia Tasting, 13/07/13. From a plastic bottle to add to the Kvass Factor ! Dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head which reduces to spotting. Nose is bready malt, light smoke, biscuit, Soreen malt loaf. Taste comprises sweet sweet brown sugars, dank brown bread dipped in a sugary solution, malt loaf, toffee backnotes. Light body, no carbonation, flat as Anglia, sweet sugary finish. One of the better Kvass’s I’ve encountered!

Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting - East Croydon. Big thanks to Jack for hunting down this kvass. Pours clear brown with a faint, filmy head. Sugary brown bread in the nose. Big sweet flavor with brown sugar, brown bread, sugar syrup. Light bodied with fine carbonation; a little syrupy. Sweet finish with more sugary bread, brown sugar and molasses. A decent example of the oft-misunderstood kvass style.

Kvass whale thanks to jackl.... It pours deep brown with a reddish hue and quickly dissipating head. The nose is sweet, caramel, cardboard and some bread...blah. The taste is damn sweet, caramel, burnt brown sugar, sweet bread and light earthiness with a sugary finish. Light body and moderate+ carbonation. Yes it’s sweet, but what was I expecting.... For a Kvass this is actually pretty good!
