(Gravity cask at White Horse, Parson’s Green, London, 23 Nov 2012) Muddy reddish brown colour with no head. Malty, fruity nose with dried fruit, cherries and chocolate. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, prunes, raisins, chocolate, a touch of chilli and a sweet and vinous finish with a mild bitterness. Medium body, quite sweet and slightly sticky. Interesting, but quite weird. Quite drinkable though.

Cask at the Cleveland Arms, London. This might be the strongest beer I have ever had here. Pours rich amber with a frothy, off-white head. Big overripe banana aroma...not much else, perhaps some banana bread. Big sweet flavor, lots more ripe bananas, bready malts, yeast, hints of berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more bruised and ripened bananas, some brown sugar, vague hints of spice and dusty cocoa, bananas foster, demerara sugar. Pretty tasty beer overall. As I would expect from the Cleveland Arms, the beer is in great condition. (3.9)

Gravity cask at the Bree Louise - Euston, London. Pours clear copper with a fain, white film head. Sugary bread in the nose, ripe fruits. Medium to big sweet flavor with rich bread, sugars, dough, light yeast. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, sticky sweet, with more bread, ripe fruits, plums and dates. Sweet and basic. (3.6)

Gravity dispense at the White horse Parsons Green. It pours hazy deep mahogany brown with pretty much no head. The nose is spice, earth, chilli pepper, caramel and ketchup. The taste is dark fruit, raisin, caramel, touch of chilli spice, earth, chocolate and some alcohol warmth. Medium-full body, soft carbonation and sticky mouth-feel. An interesting brew for sure. Although it doesn’t smell great....
