Cask-conditioned at the Beer Emporium, Bristol 12/3/2014. Copper coloured with a decent, off-white head. Caramel and nutty malts, with a hint of spice and some decent hops in the finish. Very good.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Bright copper-amber with a creamy head. Has a mild chocolate aroma amongst malts and a mild but sturdy malt-grain taste.

Cask at Merton Beer Festival 28th February & 1st March 2014 also had this at brewery a couple of weeks ago Pours deep amber with white head, looks good. Tasting more traditional than many of the other XT/Animal offerings but the rye does add a nice little twist. Sweet and malty but with a nice chewiness and the hops whilst restrained do show. I like this abd could see it appeal to the more cobservative beer drinkers who want to try something a little different but are afraid to push the boat out too far. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5
