Cask at the Willow Walk, JDW - London. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Mild citrusy hop aroma with suggestions of grainy pale malts and hay. Light-medium sweet flavor with some lemon rind, faint grass, biscuits, bread. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Reasonably well balanced on the finish with further citric hops, some grassy bitterness, more biscuits, dirty hay, grain husk. Perfectly drinkable, if not terribly exciting.

Cask @ Puzzle Hall Inn, Sowerby Bridge. Deep golden ale with a small head. Has a malt-hop aroma with a floral base to it. A little sour in the palate with a milky texture and malty undertones with a bitter finish. It’s clear there is spice in this ale but it struggles to get noticed in all its glory.
