Cask at CBC Islington during the Siren tap takeover - London. Pours oily black with a fine, bubbly brown head. Oily chocolate in the nose, some spices, dark fruits, raisins. Medium to big sweet flavor with balanced heat, chili, dark chocolate, moderate roast. Full bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Warming finish, some cocoa, oily chocolate, rich not not over-the-top chili spice. Great balance overall here, not overly hot or overly sweet, nice chocolate character. Very solid.

Craft islington. Cask. Opaque black - brown beer. Tidy dark tan head. Palate is smooth and surprisingly light and airy. Very mild carbonation. Smooth and mildly creamy dark malt. A little dark chocolate. Very mild cinnamon, barely there. Chilli is nicely judged, some heat but not overdone. Finishes semi dry with Chilli warmth lingering.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington. It pours near black with a small tan head. The nose roasted malt, varnish, chilli pepper, cinnamon, chocolate and toasted sesame seed. The taste is roasted malt, motor oil, chocolate, warming alcohol, spice, chilli, earth and toast with a dry, warming finish. Full body, soft carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Slick, full-flavoured and well-balanced. Tasty stuff.
