2nd December 2023 Near opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Good malts, quite dark in character, dark chocolate and as much toffee. The Willet bourbon barrel brings rich goodness, some vanilla oak and a touch of savoury wood. Big ripe fruity bourbon, some boozy spice. Finishes quite crisp whilst bringing its rich flavours to very satisfying conclusion. One of those bourbon barleywines that flirts with being an Impy, but sweves serious comparison here. A rich and very rewarding barleywine. A self panda revisit has shown me that my previous score was mildly stingy, this is a stonking brew.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 15/07/23. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a khaki cap that thins to nyadda. Nose is dried fruits, dates, raisins, fruit cake mix, big bourbon parp, toffee, toasted brown sugars. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, dried fruit rinds, figs, brown sugar melt, hint of chocolate, spice, bourbonics, toffee, caramel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid BA BW ... great balance, good barrel, boost on point.
Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee, dark sugar, figs and dates and plenty of bourbon. Sweet, malty and light roasted flavour with quite hot alcohol

50cl bottle pours with a murky mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up an inviting array of maltiness and then modest bourbon barrel followed by caramelized sugars. The taste delivers a pleasing hit of boozy slightly spicy bourbon booze creating a smooth framework for the malts and toffee notes that follow. Nice. More barrel forward than Ben but still great flavor balance.
