Rerated, as the bollte of the previous rating was probably infected. From tap at Moskus in Trondheim with KL 25.06.16. Chestnut. Small brown head. Aroma and taste of medium dark malt, dark caramel and brittle, with moderate pine bitterness. Initial rating 10.07.13: Unclear and pale brown. Nutty and strange aroma. Even stranger taste. Not recommended. (3/3/2/4/8=2,0)

Bra øl, quaffable, med mye smak og relativt lite sødme. Litt usikker på hva jeg ville hatt annerledes, men det er noe. Men veldig drikkbart.

500ml bottle, brygg:112, beer gift in Levanger after a lecture on early modern witchcraft. Nice mahogany coloured body under a beige head with fine duration. Solid aroma of cocoa powder. Mid-sweet malty taste with hints of grain, coffee and dark chocolate. Soft bittersweet ending. Likable (hotel room, 20.11.2012).

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Brew #78. ABV is 4.5%. Dark brown colour, moderate off-white head. Aroma of moderately roasted malts and woodwork. The flavour has notes of brown and moderately roasted malts, but is not very sweet (rather dry, actually). Very moderate hops. A decent enough brown ale, but does not blow my socks off.

500 ml bottle @ Geokkjers Lambic Farm, courtesy of yngwie. Clear dark amber body with a nice, creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, nuts and chocolate. Flavor is mild roasted malt, caramel, chocolate, coffee and balanced bitterness. Medium body and fine aftertaste. This is a really nice Brown ale, and surprisingly tasty at this relatively low alcohol strength. Well done.

Bottle. A clear one, brown in color, with a reddish tint. Finger-thick, light beige head. Nice roasted aroma with some coffee and a touch of chocolate. Some hops as well. The flavor balances the hops and roasted malts very nice, with a solid dose of chocolate. Roasted malts and coffee too. Some bitterness chimes in towards the end. Medium body, quite dry, with a bit too less carbonation, but that makes it easier to drink. Overall, a nice beer indeed, especially considering it’s a store strenght brown ale. 120326
