Cask @ Crown & Kettle, Manchester. Deep clear copper coloured with a creamy head. Has a mild berry-sweet fruitiness in both aroma and taste.

Cask at the Clockwork Beer Company. Ruby brown, clear, flat with only a suggestion of head. Smells of molasses and ginger cake. Enticing if muted. Gorgeous sweet taste with a gingery spicy sourness creeping in for the long finish. More ginger with chocolate cherries and some Angostura bitters in the finish. Body’s way too thin though, and the cask dispense doesn’t help this. So not perfect but certainly drinkable.
