Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. 7/1/2015. Many thanks to Paulo for this one. Ruby reddy coloured pour with a small halo of dirty cream coloured head . Sweet nutty grains, raisin, red fruity. Flavour is composed of sweet nutty, hazelnut, red grains, toffee and malt loaf. Palate is sweet and sticky, moderate to low carbonation. Ok.

Bottle split at LKS, thanks to Bropey, 07/01/15. Chestnut brown to amber with a moderate beige covering. Nose is caramel, biscuit, light nail polish, tangy dark fruit. Taste comprises light cocoa powder, toffee, biscuit, fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours clear, deep amber with a bubbly off-white head. Lightly toasted bready malts in the nose, mellow toffee, some spices, a little butterscotch. Medium sweet flavor with more butterscotch, figs, brown bread, very slight earthy bitterness, ripe fruits, maple. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, some gooey malts, ripe fruits, toffee, more butterscotch. Nice malty number.

Bottle thanks to Finn & Rune. It pours clear deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is burnt fruit cake, earth, spice, twig, festive vibe, burnt caramel and dirt. The taste is bitter - sweet, chewy malt, spice, fruit cake, burnt toffee, wood, leather and a touch of alcohol with dry, spiced finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit chewy and full of dry wood. Ok.

Black with off white head - Good malt aroma with some roasted malt tones - Good malt body with some dark fruity tones some coffee and caramel - The dark fruits and malt goes into the finish - This was nice

Draft @ Bishops Arms Savoy, Malmö. Pours a dark ruby amber color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty spicy aroma. Slightly roasted malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel finish.

Keg at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Hazy mahogany colour, small head. Caramelly nose with with some hay, notes of lingonberry. Mid sweet with solid body and rounded mouthfeel Malty with bread and caramel, some hay. Mid bitter finish. Solid and pleasant.

Mørk brun klar med rødskjær, skummet er beige mørk to fingre høyt, legger seg fort. Lukter brent karamell, papp, trevirke, havre, alkohol og sviske. Fyldig. Saltbitter smak. Salt lakris, sitrusskall, dyp karamell og fruktig sødme ligger bak. Middels lang.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø - Langnes. Ekstremt mørkebrun med et lite rødskjær. Pent skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Aroma av svakt røstet malt & karamell. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Litt røstethet & kaffe. Nesten julekaker. Litt tørr etter hvert. Bra julestemning her.
