Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small frothy white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is figs, dark fruits, caramel. Sweet bourbon, strong dark fruit, light funk, easy to drink. Very good.

Mega Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Very hazy red - brown beer, residual pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry. Light Worcester sauce sourness, sourish cherry, mellow fruity bourbon. Finishes light and dry with the sourness turning a little lemon acid. Overall, tasty but a bit sharp.

Bottle, generously shared by Kenny at the Big Friday tasting. It pours murky deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is tangy, juicy, wood, earth, floral, vanilla, cherry, soft raspberry and some jamminess. The taste is juicy, tart, tangy, cherry, big acidic kick, wood, jam, sherbet, some astringency, tart green apple and a lick of alcohol warmth with a dry, acidic finish, Medium+ body and fine, prickly carbonation. Good balance and actually hides the abv well. Nice work.

Bottle shared at the BIG Friday tasting, massive thanks to our Ken for sharing the entire track set and also to Bruce for providing the accompanying music 03/01/14. Murky dark chestnut brown with a moderate light beige covering, a good representation of 4 day old festival toilet water, this beer is NOT a looker ! Nose is soured apricots, tarte fruit, caramel fudge, dank wood, light pepper. Taste comprises tarte fruits, bitter apricot, dates, toffee fudge, light booze, musty, barnyard, funky dankness. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, surprisingly easy on the palate for 12.5%. Decent sour, looks aside, alcohol well integrated.

Bottle @ The Lost Tasting Of Abbey Beers, Odense 2013. Chestnut with tiny hint of off-white head. Malty aroma with oak, some funk, vanilla, caramel and raisins. Sweet and tart flavour with underlying sharp vinegar, fruity sweetness and plenty malt and dried fruit. Alcohol noticed in the background, clashing a little with the acidity

Bottle pours with an amber body and with a bit of haze and supporting a tan head of foam. The modest aroma has some spicy yeast and a funky goodness that’s almost barnyard wet horse blanket yumminess. Alright, in my book this is starting out nice as I love the barnyard funky smell. The taste is smooth as well as refreshing and crisp with a mix of sweet apple esters and then moving quickly into lime and an earthy nearly barnyard funkiness and tartness. Darn, I like the balance and depth of this. Solid!

Track tasting. Poured a cloudy red/brown color, vibrant and fuzzy tan head fizzled away quickly. The nose has some sweetness as well as notes of some light vanilla bourbon. Peaches and sour cherries notes and a touch of wood. There is certainly a boozy quality to this one.
