This exceptionally discerning Ryewine blend uses hand-selected bourbon and rye barrels from Binny's Beverage Depot to burnish the luminous malt complexities formed by a two-year stay in that premium oak. Inviting yet balanced sweetness is counterweighted by aromatic oak and assertive rye, with ambrosial notes of maple and vanilla evoked at every turn.

12oz can pours out amber brown color topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet caramel malts a great rye barrel spice kick. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel toffee malts rye barrel and some spice.

12oz (thx, Matt V.!) @ Sales Force. Appearance: dark copper with no head. Aroma: sweet, bold, a bit meaty, American oak, boozy, some candied fruits. Taste: along the same lines, boozy, lots of toffee and caramel, a bit meaty, spicy rye, nice complexity. Overall: nice one, but, again, it's definitely overly hyped with no real reason for it.

Amber-brown colour. Looks fairly oily and there is no head. The aroma is toasty, with some caramel, toffee notes, almost nutty. Soft body, with a lot of toffee sugars, with light fruitiness. The barrels are lending alcohol, dryness, and nuttiness. The rye is dominant, and bourbon lends vanilla sweetness to the finish. Very good.

Fairly thin but oily, sweet, boozy. Malty, caramel and brown sugar, dark berries. Rich and smooth, excellent.

Can, 15.6% abv via BillyT. It pours lightly hazy darkest brown with a small yellowy - tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, unctuous, oily, big hit of bourbon and spicy rye, toffee, nutty, rye soaked oak, raisin, sultana, booze soaked fruit cake, vanilla and hint of banana split. The taste is slick, oily, warming, boozey, bitter - sweet, quite nutty, oak soaked whiskey, bourbon, spicy rye, rye bread, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, figgy pudding, fruit cake, splash of Dr Pepper, drying, woody, vanilla, some spice and warming alcohol through the finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and slick mouth feel. Another absolute winner from these guys. They know how to do big BA barleywines. Delicious, good depth and somehow moreish.

Rated at Platinum Beer Lounge - Viikki Branch HQ. Intensely malty, caramely and sweet with some rye, barrel, toffee, syrup, bourbon and vanilla. Heavy but tasty.

Ryewine is life? Yes! Caramel and vanilla packed truckload of flavor, softer finish than VSOJ but also more vanilla it feels, gnarly delicious!
