Bottled. A brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and wood, leading to a dry finish. Over done on my tastebuds.

330ml bottle from Hawkshead Post Office, Cumbriashire - Hazy flat looking red body, thin off-white top. Nose has lots of malt loaf fruits, raisin, red grape, a little dusty. Taste is boozy and warm, lots of fruitiness and grain. Decent and warming.

Bottle split at the 9.49 CBC boost tasting, Clerko, 03/06/15 thanks to Daniel? Chestnut brown with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is sweet tunes, rich fruit, dark fruit peel, spice, caramel. Taste comprises toffee fudge, sweet licks, toasted brown sugar, steeped prunes, cake mix, light tropical fruit vibes. Full bodied, fine carbonation, lightly warming booze at the curtain call. Decent barley wine.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours a deep reddish brown with minimal to non-existent head. Ribena aroma. Taste is big and fruity, complex, heavy and a touch syrupy with a warming alcohol finish. Very nice.

Semi opaque dark amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is semi dry and has a mild crispness. Sweet caramel malts contrast well with somewhat savoury salty vibe. Bubblegum esters get tangled up in the mid. Finishes crisp and dry with a salty bitter linger. Not bad, if pretty full on.
