This is an unfiltered Belgian Style Blonde Ale. The beer is blonde in color from the pale malted barley varieties. It is delicately hopped with Styrian Golding and Celeia for medium bitterness and aroma. Sugars are added for higher attenuation, following the practices of some Belgian brewers. Belgian ale yeast is used to add complex flavor esters. This beer is unfiltered and yeast is left in for additional conditioning. The beer is named Fatale because it is 8.5% alcohol by volume and will catch up with you if you’re not careful.

12 oz bottle from pepsiedcan. Nose is grassy hops, caramel, yeast, and hints of bubblegum and cloves. Lightly hazy urine yellow with a medium yellow tinged head. Flavor is lightly bitter, a bit of contrasting sweetness, and peppery spices.

Bottle @ Dan’s house. Clear, golden appearance with a white head. Fairly spicy yeasty, light lemon citrusy, fresh bready aroma. Sweet, lemon, apricot citrusy, spicy, biscuit flavor. Ok fat ale- I need to try more fat ales in the future!

$3 bottle in mixed pack from the brewery, July 2011. This one poured a much more behaved head than the previous bottled Peace Trees. Just bubbles up and dwindles quickly, like a Belgian fizzy beer. Yellow with a golden center, bit of haze from the yeast from the bottle. Slightly sweet, but more malty in the nose. Taste is again a little sugary, but there’s some German hops there for an attempt at balance. Slightly yeasty aftertaste. A small note of horseblanket hop and yeast character.
