Bottle as "Arend Winter" @ home, shared with my dad. Clear amber color, small off-white to beige head that disappears fairly quickly. Smell malts, hay, earthy. Taste malts, herbs, spices, some kind of slight sourness. Low body, fizzy carbo.

Bottle sampled @ Ekstedts tasting on December 2. Courtesy of Ekstedt. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Smell is malty with raisins and a strange smell that reminds me of urinal cakes. Taste is sour with prunes and hay. Makes me think of puss. Finish is similar to the taste. Incredibly vile. Most likely very infected.

27/04/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2011-173)

Pretty clear deep orange to copper red beer, off-white aery head at pouring, turning to a smaller but creamy and stable head, adhesive. Aroma: bit metallic, sweet caramel, fruity, very malty, toast, citrus and yeast. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: citrussy, a little bready, tart apples and lemon. Pretty sour. Aftertaste: more lemon, bit of toasted malts, apple skin, bit cheesy. Weird and totally not what I was expecting from a winterbeer.

Brown beer with a light, frothy and dry palate. Slightly fruity and sour but on the whole unremarkable.
