Saisons are all about the yeast. It’s the specific strains and relatively long fermentation that create the complex spicy, fruity esters and dryness. We used to two classic strains, a “Belgian” and a “French” one to create that classic Saison experience. We are quite
satisfied with it, as it has turned into a luxurious and complex beer. We thought it suitable to give it a fancy french name. We proudly present: Les Perles Du Homard.

Orange to amber with a frothy, white head. Nose promises calvados, oak and flowers but there’s also a slightly vinous undertone. Taste is bittersweet, both mildly fruity and mildly medicinal. Finishes the same. Quite warming, not quite boozy but getting there. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A fun sipper.

Golden brew with white head. Strong malts with alcohol boost, marzipan, coriander/cloves mix. Fine smooth creamy malty feel with dry finish. Over medium body, soft carb. This is (irresistible) malt liquor for the chique. Crushable Tripel.

330 ml. bottle. BBF 04/2022. Dark orange, huge white head. Smell is BE esters, orange peel sweet, spice & soap. Fizzy body, soapy orange, spice, sweet soapy orange, herb, low candy, soapy herb. Quite meh but to style for a meh Belgian styled beer. On point but not very exciting.

Bottle at home. Slight hazy light golden with big white head. Sweet bready malts, green melon, sugary dough, light alcohol, dry yeast, soft spices, herbal notes. Solid medium sweet, light bitter. Over medium bodied. Pretty decent, though I think I would like it more with a lower ABV.

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of dry yeast, grassy hop, yeast esters, grainy malt and orange. Taste has spritzy dry yeast, barnyard yeast esters, bready malt, dry grassy spice, grassy hop and orange marmelade. Very yeast forward indeed, has a nice funk to it. Good beer.

Draught @ the brewpub Aroma has saison yeast, fruits and bush leaves. Flavour has vereal, some saison yeast, mellow grassy hops and minerals. Also menthol in the finish. A solid saison, perhaps a bit too stuffy though. Tripel-like.
