Poured from cask at GBBF 2013. Deep dark brown coloured body. Missing head. Dotted spots to the glass. Dried fruits and brown malty nose. Sweet malty taste, hints of vanilla ice cream. Dry ending. Easy to drink. A respectable mild version (London Olympia 13.08.2013).

From cask. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is vanilla and chocolate malty. Bitter, vanilla and chocolate powdery. Perfumy vanilla. Medium dry malty finish.

Cask at GBBF 2013. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, toast, cocoa, dark fruit, raisin and light caramel. The taste is earth, light toast, roasty, cocoa, dark fruit and mild caramel with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent chocolate aspect. Not bad.

On tap at Gbbf 2013. Deep ruby lasting beige head. It’s got a lit of plum fruit. Like a plum pudding good condition. Some dryness on the finish. Ok.

Cask-conditioned at George’s Meeting House (JDW), Exeter 12/05/2012. Almost black in colour with a red undertone and decent, off-white head. Big chocolate powder notes ran through this, both on the aroma and in the flavour, which was quite sweet with a touch of fruitiness. Finish was short and gentle. Good.

[Cask at Chippenham BF] Deep ruby colour, slight fizz. Chocolate aroma. Weird taste of watery cherry cola. Light, dry roastiness. Strange beer, not sure what to make of it. c9
