13/11/2022. Can bought at The Oak Barrel, Sydney shared in Noumea. Pours hazed dark brown with a lasting frothy beige head. Aroma of chocolate, citrus, hops, dark fruits, caramel, vanilla. Medium sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Medium body, slightly watery, average carbonation. Easy drinking stout. BIPA elements. Liked it.

Backlog November 2017. Clear, deep amber, almost black body under a nice, dense, beige head. Aroma has dark malt with a hint of licorice. Taste is sweet, smooth, dark malt, some pine and hint of chocolate. Fine body and same aftertaste.

Aromas of milk, dark bitter chocolate, coffee and grapefruit. The chocolate and hops are prominent in the mouth, together with spice, cherry and burnt toast, which is what I am left with at the end. Starts strongly, ends poorly.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Lacing rings down the glass from a slowly diminishing, frothy fawn-coloured head. Near-black in the glass. Inviting aroma of roasted malts and spruce, mid-sweet. Interesting blended taste character of liquorice, citrus peels, and a backdrop of pine needles. Roasted bitterness to the ending. Well bodied. Decent Halloween drink. (Tromsø 31.10.2018).

330ml can into schooner glass. It's dark dark brown with a pitted tan-coloured head. Some lacing. Nose is chocolate, cocoa, dark fruit, and a hint of vanilla essence. Bitter cocoa taste which increases towards the finish. Then the coffee takes over but the finish is fairly short. I like the dry alcohol bitterness of this stout, interesting.

Bottle at a tasting. Quite overcarbonated, but otherwise a fine stout, even though not the most soft nor compex nor delicious one. Classic roast character is present, with no considerable off notes. Medium-low body, very light roast-derived astringency. Good one.

From a 330ml bottle on 22/1/2017 (shared with Butz). Pours close to black with a small head. The nose is mild, sweet chocolate with a hint of roasted malt. Tatse wise, there’s ore chocolate (dark), a bit of dark. tangy fruit, and a firm roasty bitterness. Fullish body with moderate to average carbonation. A very enjoyable, tasty stout.
