We sourced some of the most wonderful malt in the world from the Swedish Island of Gotland, smoked over birch wood that gives the beer a warmth. This is balanced with the spiciness of Rye malt and set off by the warm fruit and pine notes in the abundance of Simcoe hops we added. These ingredients come together to form something unique.

Keg at CBR 2014. It pours dark brown with a medium beige head. The nose is smoke, light roast, meatiness, earth and bacon frazzles. The taste is earthy, smoke, toast, roasted malt, wood, some citrus and candied peel with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well rounded smoked beer, but not overly exciting affair. Decent.
