American Pale Ale was created by California craft brewers in the early 1980s. It has medium body with wonderful floral/citrus aroma and flavor. This beer is aggressively hopped; has noticeable bitterness with hints of grapefruit and pine resulting from liberal dry hopping with American hops.

Bottle: (as "Hangtime Pale Ale" ) Clear, medium gold with a sudsy white head. Light orange, grain, floral scent. Taste is very mild....sweet citrus, grain malt. Not much going on, but it’s a pretty decent session beer.....good flavour, light.......Fruity and juicy.

Keg at the brewpub, Nashville, 15/02/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering that retains well, good lacing ensues. Nose is juicy citrics, melon, tangerine, hoppy notes. Taste comprises floral hop notes, pine, melon, tangerine, citric pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough APA with a floral hop resonance.

Bottle shared at RBWG 2014 Late Night tasting - Asheville. Decent offering. Some creamy citrus fruits, basic pale malts, pine needles, mild dough. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with more light citrus notes. Tasty if a bit basic.
