(Bottle) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of dark rye bread, caramel, dried fruit, hints of treacle and liquorice. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, raisins, crisp-bread, brown sugar, caramel and a mild, herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. The malt character is a bit metallic and hollow, but taste is quite nice. Quite enjoyable.

330ml bottle thanks to djoeye for sharing. Rocky fawn-coloured head. Opaque dark red body. Sweet fruity nose with toffee. Taste of sweet plums, toffee, and yeast. Rather sweet fruity end. Drinkable, but a tad too sweet and unvaried (Tromsø 27.05.2015). --- Beer merged from original tick of Gutsy Dark Ale on 20 Jul 2021 at 18:14 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: 330ml bottle, Brew5, kindly shared by Finn. A gusher! Huge off-white head, unclear copper coloured body, fair lacing. Moderate brown malty smell, scent of berries. Blended taste of berry-fruits and caramel malts, a bit doughy. Mid-sweet malty ending. Satisfying. (Tromsø 20.07.2021).

Bottle. A clear-looking dark copper colored beer with a small, creamy dark beige head. Dried fruits, caramel, bread and some roasted notes in the aroma. Some bitterness in the flavor, dealing easily with the little sweetness. Dried fruits, bread and caramel flavor. Full body and a decent carbonation level. Lasting finish with dried fruits and caramel maltyness. Sure a decent gluten free beer. 141213

330 ml bottle, as Green’s Dark, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 5.8%. Dark brown colour, large beige head. "Belgian" malty aroma and flavour of caramel and brown kandij sugar, spicy hints of Belgian ale yeast. Not bad for a gluten free.

330ml bottle from Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours a very dark brown with decent beige head. Aroma of dark toffee and malts. Taste is rich, dark and malty with spice, strong dark fruits and warming alcohol. My first gluten-free beer and it’s not bad at all.
