Very dark in the glass with a beige head. The beer starts malty dry with a nice refreshing sour note. The mainpart is malty-dry and slightly sourish. In the aftertaste the beer is nicely dry, nearly no sweetness with hints of roasted malt. Thereby refreshing sourish nice.
A very interesting ale! Nice and highly drinkable. --> 12/12/12/12

Can. A dark red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, bread, and metal, leading to a dry finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

Can at home in Salisbury. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy tan head. Wet burnt leaves in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with some coffee, wet ash, leaves, dirt, some tangy dark malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with further lightly tangy dark malts, more dirt and ash, charred leaves. Pretty weak on every front.

Draught, Avenue Pub. Light chestnut colour. Light body and gentle maltiness. Not bad. There isn’t much complexity but it drinks easy and is probably better if you think of it as a mild.

on tap at BWW Bossier City, pours brown with a medium tan head, minimal lacing. Nose is coffee and cocoa, very robust and roasty. Flavor is amazingly rich for the low abv, in the realm of Maduro, lots of light cocoa and roasted coffee ending with a thin layer of spice and earthen hops. I could drink this stuff all day long.

draft at Bulldog Pub, New Orleans. pours copper/brown, beige head. aroma and taste, dark malts, light roast with caramel. Found it to be rather basic, with some hints of pilsener malts, some malts and the caramel in the finish. Faint touch of bready mouthfeel. One dimensional but refreshing.
